About Keystone
Built by an electrician. For the people who do the work.
Origin story
Started on the tools, not in a boardroom.
Keystone Field Systems was founded by an electrician by trade. On job after job, the software meant to help was written by people who had never pulled wire. It came as apps that needed signal in a basement, calculators that spat out a number with no way to show where it came from, and tools stuffed with features nobody asked for, with buttons too small to hit wearing gloves.
When an answer goes on a permit application or in front of an inspector, "the app said so" isn't good enough. You need to see the rule, the inputs and every step in between. You also need the tool to work wherever the job is.
So we started building the tool we wanted in our own pouch.
Our mission
High-precision engineering, grounded in real field experience.
-
Exact math, no shortcuts
Calculations follow the code tables and formulas exactly. No rounding games, no approximations, and the code edition is always clear.
-
Offline by default
If it doesn't work in a basement with no signal, it doesn't ship.
-
Field ergonomics first
Big targets, dark screens and short paths to the answer, designed for gloves and bad lighting.
-
Lean on purpose
We build the tool that does the job, not every feature that sounds good in a meeting.
